It was Marci's first night in Manhattan, and she couldn't be more excited to be in NYC. It had been a while since Marci had been on the East Coast, and it was weird how hot it was there. From what she remembered of New York, the weather always seemed to be cooler than in California. However, they were going through a heatwave at the moment.
Right now, Marci was at a nearby nightclub, her hair was down and lightly curled, she had on a black mini-halter dress and a pair of heels. In the middle of the dance floor she was dancing to the beat of the music, with no one in particular. Although, a few times some guys came to dance with her.

Sam was at the same nightclub as Marci. However he was sitting at the bar drinking a beer he wasn't out on the dancefloor dancing his little heart out. He wasn't into dancing, he never was. Usually, he would be sitting at the bar while Dean was off flirting and seducing women. Dean wasn't here flirting and seducing women though. He was somewhere else. It depressed Sam. Dean had given up his life to Sam's. Sam felt like shit about it espically now that he was gone. It shouldn't have turned out that way. They should've found a way to break the contract. Dean should've been here at this bar with Sam. Even though Dean was out of hell he still had a contract against him. Call it a second chance if you will.
He sipped on his beer, Bud Light. He liked it better than Budweiser. He went down his throat a look smoother. Dean would've poked fun at him telling Sam it was a foo foo beer.

Deciding to take a break from dancing for a bit, Marci moved away from the crowd. Fixing her fringe, she made her way over towards the bar to order a drink. Waiting for the bartender to come over to her, Marci took a seat on a stool near a rather cute looking guy. Passing a glance over at him she gave him a smile before looking back to the bartender who asked what she wanted. After ordering her drink, Marci glanced over at the guy again, a shy smile on her lips before she looked down at her hands.

Sam gave a small smile at the girl seated next to him. Finishing his beer and pushed it away from him and nodded at the bartender signaling that he wanted another one. He noticed the girls shyness. He could relate he was very much of a shy boy himself. The Bartender had his way towards Sam and replaced the old beer with a new one. Shifting his hips so his body was now facing Marci he extended a friendly hand out to her.
"Hi! Name's Sam."

'I knew that smile would work.' Marci thought to herself when she heard the guy, Sam, introduce himself. Looking over at him, she smiled as she got a better view of his face. "Hey, I'm Marci." She said, shaking his hand briefly. "You from around here?" She asked, thanking the bartender when he brought over the drink she asked for.

"You from around here?"
“Me? Oh, no. I’m just visiting.” He replied.
The truth was word had dropped of supernatural activity. What did was Sam had yet to figure out. He was still on the hunt for it and he was starting to come up with a lot of dead ends to figuring out what it was. If he had only just stayed at the motel room and worked on his handy dandy laptop he might’ve been able to figure it out. Instead he decided to get a beer in hopes of finding a lead.
“What about you? Are you from around here?”

Marci nodded when he said he was just visiting. A smile came to her face when she realized how cute he was. Sure, she wasn't one for relationships, they just never worked out in her favor. She always seemed to get dumped, though she really couldn't understand why. Coming out of her thoughts when he spoke up again, she quickly came up with a lie. She hated to lie, for not only the fact that she WAS lying, but she was also bad at it. Which is a downside of her being a hunter. "Me? Oh...I'm...just visiting too." Marci said, her cheeks going red.

Sam thought the reason why her cheeks were getting red were because of him not she was lying. He was a little naive when it came to girls. He had never really had a lot of relationships before. Jessica was his only serious relationship he ever had. That one ended well. He smiled at Marci nodding. He wasn't alone at visiting the Big Apple and it somewhat gave him some comfort.
"Well, turns out I'm not along, huh? So where are you originally from then?"

Marci smiled gently, "Guess not." She said before taking a sip of her drink. Placing it back down on the bar top she then said, "California. What about you?" The huntress asked, unaware that he was a hunter. It would be a surprise to her when, or if, she found out that he was.

"I'm not really from anywhere. Family moved around a lot."
Sam kinda shrugged a waved his hand slightly. He was originally born in Kansas but since the death of his mother, he was always on the road with Dean and their father. He took a long drink from his beer this time. Thinking about it made him wish he had a normal family and were able to just settle down in one spot and stay that way but it wasn't. Sam had even tried to settle in one place but it didn't last long for him. He shifted slightly in his seat. With the music is was kinda hard to hear Marci. He leaned towards her and began pointing towards the door.
"So, you wanna go get some coffee or something? It's getting a little too crowded for me here."

"Oh, was your parents in the military or something?" Marci asked, genuinely interested. Marci had been lucky to be able to stay in one place, until she was ready to move out and go on the road. She too, had a hard time hearing Sam because of the loud music. As he leaned closer to her, she thought he had a different intention until he spoke up again. "Sure, I'd love to." Marci said with a smile. Moving off of her stool, she called the bartender over and paid for her drink.

"Yeah in a way I guess you could say." He replied about her question of the military.
He set the money down on the counter he owed for his drink plus a tip and slid off his bar stool. He motioned for Marci to follow him and he began to fight through the crowd to get outside. Once his mission was complete and he was outside he stuffed his hands in his pockets waiting for Marci. He looked around at his surroundings looking for a near by coffee shop. No luck.
"Do... uh...Do you know where a coffee shop even is?" he asked feeling slightly embarrassed asking her this question. He had no idea where one even was.

Following Sam, she squeezed her way through the crowds. She had last where Sam had gone to for a brief moment until she was outside again. It was hot out, even though it was around 9 at night, it was at least 80. Looking towards Sam when he asked her a question she laughed softly, "No, but I'm sure we could find someone to ask." She said, looking around for someone to ask. Finding a guy smoking a cigarette nearby she looked towards Sam briefly before going over towards him. "Excuse me..." She trailed off as the guy looked towards her and acknowledged her with a nod, "Do you know where the nearest coffee shop is?" She asked, feeling slightly uncomfortable around him. When he told her where it was she thanked him and then looked back to Sam. "It's three blocks from here." She told him.

Sam smiled and nodded. He walked Marci to the coffee shop that was three blocks away. His mind began to race. He invited her to coffee but had no idea what to talk to her about or anything of that matter. That's where he envied Dean in a way. Dean could talk to women he couldn't. He kept his hands stuffed in his pockets while they still walked together. He could comment about the heat. For 80 degrees outside for New York it was hot!
"So.. how about this weather?" He asked forcing out a laugh.

Marci had stayed quiet as well, the sound of her heels clicking against the cement as she walked next to Sam. Arms crossed over her chest as she kept her gaze downward for the time being. However, when he spoke up again she laughed softly. "Yeah I know, it's really hot out." She said, fixing her fringe before looking away. 'Come on...think of SOMETHING to talk about.' Marci thought to herself.
"So, where were you born?" She asked before realizing how stupid that was, it was such a random question.
