History:On stage the real world would disappear for Elise Danvers. In reality, she was a young woman from a poor white-trash family from a trailer park in Kentucky. She had been told most of her life that she was worthless and would never amount to anything. Only one person, who had ever seemed to care had been her Mother. “Baby, you can do whatever you want. You are the smartest and prettiest little girl I know” She would always tell her. But she was taken away from her. Killed in a car accident along with her younger brother. Unfortunately her crack addict father remarried when she was 15 years old…to Debbie. Elise hated everything about Debbie. She treated her like a piece of garbage for three years and her father did nothing but get high and pass out on the couch. Debbie was a very aggressive woman and often took that aggression on Elise. She would have to hide bruises that Debbie would leave on her, from teachers and friends. Debbie even turn Elise’s own father against her. He forced his only daughter, to move out of the small trailer she had lived in for 18 years. Luckily she had been preparing to leave she had money and a job.
Elise took to her music. Her Mother had taught her how to play the guitar at a young age. She dreamed of “making it big” and leaving the small town life behind her. She played the occasional gig at a local bar. It paid the rent and she did what she loved. She felt like she was someone completely different when she was on stage. She was happy, happier than she had ever been in her life. Even though the dingy little bar was no place she would ever be discovered.
Everything changed one day for the sassy brunette. She had just gotten off stage and went to the bar for a drink. The bartender handed Elise the phone. It was her maternal grandmother May. May told the young woman, that she needed to see her. "Its time you to learn about a family tradition of ours".

Sample Roleplay:
Lise followed Harker to his truck. She saw the dog inside and smiled. He or she was very cute. The thought of the dog reminded the feisty brunette of her old mountain cur. She adored that dog. Her not a very nice person father had him put down after her mother died. It broke her heart. Luke had always been a good dog. Her mother had got it for Lise and her brother Scott as a present.
She looked over at Harker as they hopped into the truck. "What's his name?" she smiled at the dog and offered her hand for him to sniff. She loved dog. She would have liked to have one. But with her bike and on the road so much, she just couldn't keep one. She also told the silent man where she was staying. It was a crap motel, but it was a place to sleep. She needed to head to Oklahoma next week to see Karlie and Damon. She had another gift for baby Kayla. Auntie Lise missed her little girl.
The ride was a quiet one. Lise was a bit uncomfortable with silence. She was bold and loud. She didn't like the air when there was no sound. She bit back the urge to speak. He just didn't seem like the chatting kind. She did however dig in her jacket pocket. She was looking for a scrap of paper. Anything that she could write on. She finally found a matchbook, hidden deep inside her pockets. She smiled slightly and scrawled a line or two within the cover of the match book. She held on to it till Harker had pulled the car up to her motel. "Thanks for the rescue and the ride. Maybe sometime I can return the favor." She smiled at him and as she closed the door behind her, she toss the matchbook in the passenger seat. The small match book had her number inside and her name. The i was dotted with a tiny heart. Lise walked away smiling. She didn't know if she would ever see him again. But she had made the first move. It was now his turn. (sample taken from At A Crossroads RPG.
